I'm a professor, an experienced autism therapist, a researcher, and a parent...
Ā
I'm here to share my expertise with you!
Ā
Hi, I'm Leslie Blome
Ā
This is my Story
Many of my life experiences contribute to my desire to support your parenting journey as the parent of a young autistic child. I am an experienced speech-language pathologist of over 25 years who specializes in finding ways to help autistic children feel calm and find ways to communicate their thoughts, ideas, wants, and needs. I have spent many years directly supporting autistic children and their families at home, school, and in the community.Ā
In my current role as a professor of speech-language pathology, I stay current on recent research, and love to find ways to summarize and share what I learn with families. IĀ value the opportunity to mentor adult learners and connect them with the tools and resources they need...and want to do the same for you!
Most importantly, I am a mom. IĀ understand what it is to worry for your childās well-being. Heart-to-heart conversations during home visits, parent groups, and in the parking lot during drop-off and pick-up, have helped me to understand some of the unique challenges and concerns of raising a child with autism.
Let me connect you with the tips and tools you need to support your child and move through the day with confidence and ease!
